Our mission is to ignite women who have a passion for fly-fishing and provide adventures to realize their limitless potential.

We truly love sharing our fly-fishing world through trips, classes and clinics; and helping others make new life-long friendships through our Reel Women Fly Fishing Adventures networks. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or life-long angler, we offer world class adventures and the ability to enhance your skill set.

We’ve been honored to develop fly-fishing trips over 30 years that clients return to time and again. Our most popular fly-fishing trips include Permit Quest and the Madison River. These sell out fast to both returning clients and new friends. We’re also honored to say that we keep growing and offering new programs and trips.

The RWFFA Guide School and our RWFFA Back to Basics classes give you the chance to really focus on techniques and personal growth through individual instruction. We always offer low client to instructor ratios and focus on your specific questions and needs. Watching the growth in you is our pleasure and passion.

Custom Trips and casting clinics are available for those that want to create a dream trip with their friends! We do more and more of this each year – your river, your timeline, your group.

Whatever part of Reel Women Fly-Fishing Adventures (RWFFA) you choose, its likely you will be inspired to “Cast to Your Dreams”. We’ve appreciated many letters and stories over the years from clients who heard the message. They went home to grow in their fly-fishing, but also many other parts of their lives. Be it personal relationships, careers or major life changes, a fly-fishing experience with RWFFA will open your heart and soul to follow your path!

History of Reel Women Fly-Fishing Adventures

In 1992, Lori-Ann Murphy co-founded Reel Women Fly-Fishing Adventures after attending a conference with other industry leading women who enjoyed fly-fishing adventure travel. The goal was always to create a world-class fly-fishing experience for women to enjoy adventure travel. In the process it also offered a safe place for women to ask questions, develop skills and meet others like them in a male dominated industry.

By 1998, Lori-Ann started the first Women’s Fly-fishing Guide School as she recognized other women wanting to enter the industry professionally. We’re proud to say that our graduates have gone on to start their own outfitting businesses, write fly-fishing books, and become industry leaders in organizations like Casting for Recovery.

In 2009, Lori-Ann moved to San Pedro Belize and since then has worked as a Saltwater guide, fly-fishing director for a local lodge and now runs Reel Women Fly-Fishing Adventure trips on the waters surrounding Ambergris Caye.

In 2015, Orvis awarded Lori-Ann Murphy and Reel Women Fly Fishing Adventures with their ‘Breaking Barriers’ award. This industry award is given each year to someone promoting women within the industry each year.

“A trip with Reel Women Fly Fishing Adventures is about a world class fly-fishing experience. We are here as a resource and for your planning. We love what we do and sharing what we know is our highest honor”.  — LA
